It all started on August 11, 1973, when DJ Kool Herc hosted a back-to-school jam in the Bronx. The rest is hip-hop history.

In honor of FIFTY years of HIP-HOP, join LGND Music as we celebrate the origins of Hip-Hop in our year long HIP-HOP FIFTY program built around six themes - The (Past, Present,) Future is Female, The Blog Era, East to West, The Golden Era, The Birth and The South Got Something to Say.
